My Top 9 Projects of 2019

Commemorative Police Throw

The reason this is one of my favorites is because this was the biggest project I had done with that many color changes. I was excited to know I could do it and that it came out so well.
Pattern: Commemorative Police Throw by Lion Brand. Free
Yarn: Lion Brand Wool Ease Primarily but also used Red Heart Super Save Yarn when I could not find the color I needed locally in Lion Brand Wool Ease.
Notes: This pattern is written in for Tunisian Crochet. I used the same hook at the pattern recommended but I used single crochets and based my stitch/Color changes off the Charts provided in the pattern.

Cat Lovers Blanket

I just LOVED the colors in this one.
Pattern: Cat Lovers Blanket by Hat & I, Paid Pattern
Yarn: Hobby Lobby’s I love this Yarn
Notes: Since this was designed as a
baby blanket in size. I went up to a J Hook, and add another row of squares to the bottom and on one side.

Virus Baby Blanket

This baby blanket was made for a friend. This is my go to pattern for a baby blanket.
Pattern:Virus Blanket by Jonna Martinez, Paid Pattern
Yarn: Yarn Bee’s Toasty Sweet. Discontinued

Snowman Hat and Scarf

I designed this set for my youngest daughter Ella.

Pattern:Snowman Mini C2C Scarf by Jamie Lee Crochet, Free
Hat Pattern is in the making
Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver, White and in Hat color.

Striped Slouchy Hat

This hat was a fun one to work on. My eldest had a yankee swap at school in her advisory, and she knew what she wanted. She designed how she wanted the hat to look. I made the hat, she can crochet but was swamped with school work.  Thus, this school colored Striped Slouchy Hat was born.
Pattern: Another one in the making. Soon to be released.
Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver Yarn.

Christmas Stocking

This project was one of more challenging projects this year. I was sent a photo of a stocking very similar to this one and was asked to make a replica. I was able to see the original stocking in person once to get measurements. I was sent as many photos as I asked for.  I hunted down the pattern and by trail and error did I figure out how to make it the same size. My cross stitching and the color of the tree were not exact but I think it came out pretty good.
Pattern: Crochet Christmas Stocking by Kathy Wesley
Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver in Red, White and Green. Lion Brand Homespun in Green. (It was a partial skein with out a label. I am not sure what the specific color of green it is)
Note: The picture below of the two stockings, one on the left is the picture I was sent and the one on the right is the one I made (before I woven in the ends)
I ended up holding two strands of yarn together with a J hook. Except on the green of the tree that was a single stand of yarn. This made the yarn as thick and the right size as the one I was replicating.

Elf with Ears Marshmallow Mug Hat

This is one of my favorite and most popular marshmallow mug hats that I got to design for a family member. Finished item is available here

Pattern: Elf with Ears Marshmallow Mug Hat by Jamie Lee Crochet, paid

This project was a last minute ask from my middle daughter for a birthday party present.
